Terms of Service

1.1. SENTINEL provides automated open-source intelligence (OSINT) analysis and reputational due diligence reports generated through automated processing of publicly available information.

1.2. SENTINEL is NOT a licensed private investigation agency, financial advisory service, investment firm, legal advisory service, or credit reporting agency.

1.3. All content constitutes informational material only — not advice, recommendation, or endorsement of any kind.

1.4. Reports do not constitute a legal determination of any person's character, guilt, innocence, or suitability.

2.1. Reports are based exclusively on publicly available information at time of research.

2.2. SENTINEL does not access classified databases, non-public records, or private social media accounts.

2.3. Absence of adverse findings does not guarantee absence of risk. Public records may be incomplete or unavailable.

3.1. SENTINEL makes no warranty regarding accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or reliability of information.

3.2. Reports may contain factual inaccuracies, omissions, or outdated information despite best efforts to verify.

3.3. No due diligence methodology — AI or human — can guarantee 100% accuracy. Even the largest human-operated due diligence firms include similar disclaimers.

3.4. Reports are a preliminary screening tool, NOT a substitute for comprehensive human-led due diligence.

4.1. All decisions based on reports are the client's sole responsibility.

4.2. Client agrees to independently verify critical findings before making financial or legal decisions.

4.3. Client agrees to consult licensed professionals before acting on information provided.

4.4. Client will not use reports for illegal purposes, harassment, or discrimination.

4.5. Client acknowledges they have read the AI-Generated Content Disclosure (Section 6) and accepts its limitations.

5.1. Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific report giving rise to the claim.

5.2. SENTINEL is not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, business opportunities, revenue, or reputational damage.

5.3. SENTINEL is not liable for any action taken or not taken based on information provided.

5.4. SENTINEL is not liable for factual errors provided commercially reasonable verification efforts were made.

5.5. Client waives claims arising from inaccuracies that could have been identified through independent verification, which SENTINEL explicitly recommends.

6.1. All reports are generated by artificial intelligence (AI) systems, specifically large language models (LLMs).

6.2. AI systems may occasionally produce inaccurate or fabricated information ("hallucinations"). Multi-step verification is employed but cannot fully eliminate this risk.

6.3. No human analyst reviews individual reports before delivery unless explicitly agreed in writing.

6.4. AI-generated content should be treated as a research aid, not a definitive factual record.

6.5. This disclosure constitutes adequate notice of AI limitations.

6.6. Use of AI does not create a professional advisory relationship.

7.1. Payment required in full before research commences.

7.2. No refunds once research has commenced.

7.3. Full refund issued if SENTINEL is unable to produce a report.

8.1. All client requests, target names, and report contents are strictly confidential.

8.2. No disclosure to third parties except as required by law.

8.3. Client agrees not to attribute findings publicly without written consent.

9.1. All research uses publicly available sources only.

9.2. SENTINEL does not engage in hacking, unauthorized access, or surveillance.

9.3. SENTINEL does not claim direct API access to OFAC, Interpol, or government databases.

10.1. Governed by laws of the State of Delaware, United States.

10.2. Disputes resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA).

10.3. Arbitrator's decision is final and binding.

11.1. SENTINEL may modify these terms at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
